Now in beta, AOL® Mail RIA (Rich Internet Application) is a free, web-based email experience from AOL Mail.
Created using Microsoft® Silverlight™, AOL® Mail RIA offers fast performance, exclusive themes,
and the convenience of a Web-based email service with desktop-like performance and functionality.
AOL® Mail RIA offers new rich media capabilities in your email along with the features you've come to expect from AOL Mail, including:
A media viewer to preview photos and videos received in email
Full integration with Truveo, the leading video search engine
A theme for your email experience -- AOL Classic, Onyx or Hubble
Industry-leading features of the AOL Mail service, including unlimited email storage and free spam protection.
What do I need to get started?
To start using AOL® Mail RIA, you'll need:
An AOL/AIM or Tunome.com email address. To create a new address, visit http://www.Tunome.com.

Is there an easy way to access AOL® Mail RIA?
While AOL® Mail RIA is in beta, you will not be able to access it in the usual ways you access AOL Mail. For quick access to AOL® Mail RIA, you can:

Enter ria.aol.com into your web browser
Create a shortcut on your desktop! Just click-and-drag the AOL icon in the Address Bar to your desktop.
If you are using a private computer, check the option "Stay signed in until I sign out" to make it even faster to sign in.
Note: AOL® Mail RIA is not presently supported inside the AOL client software (AOL 9.0/9.1/9.5 or Desktop). While you may use AOL® Mail RIA in the client, some features/services may not be available or operate as desired.
